B&B in Mid Wales

Welcome to Lower Fishpools Cottage, a traditional Welsh small-holding, set in 20 acres of beautiful mid-Wales countryside offering four-star accommodation. The grounds include the two pools that gave the house its name and that we are hoping to restore. Fishpools B&B Cottage nestles between Knighton and Llandrindod Wells on the edge of the unspoilt beauty of the Radnor forest, a former Royal hunting ground that boasts diverse woodland and abundant wildlife and which has miles of scenic tracks to explore for walkers, horse-riders and cyclists.

Fishpools Cottage is situated one mile from Bleddfa, a small village whose name derives from ‘Bleddfaich’ meaning ‘the place of the wolf’. It is a perfect place to enjoy a holiday or short break in mid Wales whether you want to relax in peace and quiet or to participate in more adventurous pursuits.

Enjoy the fantastic experience of holidaying with your horse in this rural and scenic part of Wales. We are in an ideal position for horse riding having direct access to the Radnor forest and miles of bridlepaths and green lanes.
For horse accommodation we have comfortable stables and safe turnout facilities.

For walkers looking for a walking holiday, there are several walks in and around the Radnor forest as well as the Glyndwrs Way and the Offas Dyke long distance paths which pass through nearby Dolley Green and Llangunllo.

The stunning countryside of Radnorshire is a delight for cyclists of all abilities. There are family cycle trails in the Radnor forest and the area is perfect for the more adventurous mountain bikers.

Motorcyclists, whether road bikers or off road endurance riders are welcome.
